(TORONTO – January 22, 2018) The Toronto Smartphone Film Festival (TSFF) is now accepting film
submissions for its 8
th Annual Festival. As the largest and fastest growing innovative mobile film festival in North
America, TSFF is looking forward to once again showcasing work by both amateur and professional filmmakers across the world.
TSFF encourages filmmakers to share their stories shot on smartphones or tablets as these devices are
considered to be one of the most affordable types of film equipment available. Smartphone filmmaking requires minimal training and field experience, however, it opens doors to limitless potential and an innovative way of filmmaking.
Mingu Kim, the Executive Director of TSFF, is excited to present TSFF for the 8th time this year. “TSFF has been the platform for aspiring filmmakers across the globe for the past 7 years. We hope to step up our game and look forward to collaborating with filmmakers with great artistic visions this year.”
Films can be submitted by 11:59 p.m. EST on Sunday, April 7th 2018 to be considered as a TSFF official selection and qualify for awards. The free submission period ends at 11:59 p.m. EST on Sunday, January 31st 2018.
