(TORONTO – May 21, 2019) The Toronto Smartphone Film Festival (TSFF) has announced the event details for its upcoming festival. The 8th Annual TSFF will take place on June 21-23, 2019 at Innis Town Hall located at the University of Toronto St. George Campus. TSFF will be celebrating its 8th edition with film selections from around the world over a 3-day period.
In addition to the screenings of the official selections, TSFF will screen the award winners from the 2018 Korean Parallel Smartphone Film Festival (KPSFF). KPSFF is a creative place of development, where the professionals and non-professionals can communicate through education. The screening will take place at Korean Canadian Cultural Association on June 22, 2019.
TSFF will be also be running the 48 Hour Film Challenge co-presented with The Film Stars Project. The event will be a spontaneous film challenge where participants work in teams to create a Smartphone film in 48 hours. There will be a reception for the 48 Hour Film Challenge held on June 20, 2019 at George Brown College. The selected films will be screened during the last day of the festival on June 23, 2019.
This year, winners out of the 15 final selections, will be chosen in 4 categories including the Best Canadian Film, Best International Film, Best Emerging Filmmaker, and Audience Choice Award.
Tickets can be purchased for individual dates or for the entire festival at a discounted price via Eventbrite. Volunteer inquiries are currently being accepted at tsff email@example.com.
