TSFF celebrates its 5th year anniversary with over 200 film submissions
The 5th Annual Toronto Smartphone Film Festival (TSFF) is taking place in the heart of Toronto at
Innis Town Hall on Jun 3-4, 2016.
TSFF was founded in 2012 to encourage aspiring filmmakers to share their stories through film without having to equip themselves with expensive video equipment, training or field experience. As the largest smartphone film festival in Canada, TSFF provides aspiring filmmakers with a platform to showcase their work and talent.
This year, TSFF celebrates its 5th year and its exposure in the international film industry is bigger than ever. The festival has received 217 film submissions in total from 34 different countries around the world—USA, Canada and Iran being the top 3 countries with the highest number of submissions. This year, TSFF will also present films in 3 new inspiring categories: “Women in Film,” partnered up with Toronto Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA) Women’s Committee, “Best Film about Autism,” partnered up with Autism in Mind (AIM), and “Emerging Filmmaker Award,” partnered up with Raindance Toronto.
The final selections are announced on May 6th, 2016. For more information, please visit www.smartphonefilm.ca or contact Jennifer (Ye Won) Kim at firstname.lastname@example.org.
