All submissions will be reviewed by the Jury, and only selected videos will screen on the day of Toronto Smartphone Film Festival and on Arirang Korea TV via OMNI 2.
Terms and conditions: By submitting your films (“Film”) to Toronto Smartphone Film Festival ("TSFF"), you accept and agree that you grant TSFF a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, screen, broadcast, and distribute the Film as well as the unrestricted use of the Film for any purpose, without compensation to the provider of the Film.

Submission Deadline: Sunday, April 17, 2016.
Early-bird (free): Monday, February 29, 2016.
Submission Fees Apply: Regular ($10); Late ($15)
Rules and Regulations:
Genre: Free of choice, including but not limited to: Animation, Comedy, Horror, Music Video, Documentary, and Experimental.
Length: 10 minutes or under.
Language: Films containing spoken language(s) other than English must include English Subtitles.
Film Footage: Must be shot on smartphone device(s) and/or tablet(s) of any brand. Animation films and digitally produced films must be created on smartphones/tablets using app(s). (DSLR, Handycam Camcorders, Point-and-Shoot Cameras, and et cetera are not accepted.)
Audio Recording: External device(s) may be used if needed.
BTS: Prepare Behind-the-Scene photos (at least 3) and/or videos (at least 30 seconds long) (Mandatory)
Editing: Any editing software(s) may be used (does not need to be edited on smartphones/tablets).
Copyright: All copyright material(s) used in final edit must be cleared by the applicant before submitting. (Any issue(s) that may arise due to infringement of copyrights is the applicant’s sole responsibility. TSFF and its members are not responsible for any infringement of copyrights.)
Submission File: QuickTime or mp4 files are accepted. Do not send compressed files.
All submissions will be reviewed by the Jury, and only selected films will be screened on the day of film festival and on Arirang Korea TV via OMNI 2. Finalists give the film festival the exclusive rights to screen, broadcast, publish and distribute on all possible media platforms.
Toronto Smartphone Film Festival holds the right without payment to finalists to show all submitted projects on all possible media platforms and use it for promotional and screening purposes indefinitely.
- Films, filmmakers and actors from Quebec are excluded from submissions
- TSFF is not responsible for shipping and handling fees of all prizes.

Results will be notified by Friday May 6, 2016.

A. All Films submitted under these Terms must be submitted in accordance with the procedure outlines herein. TSFF may, but is not required to, disqualify or reject any Film that is not submitted in this way.
B. To submit a film or Festival consideration, an Applicant must:
1. Submit a film via FilmFreeway - Visit https://filmfreeway.com/festival/TorontoSmartphoneFilmFestival (Film Title, Director’s Name, Length in Minutes and Name of Country must be printed clearly and consistently on all submitted materials i.e. Form, Raw Footage, Film) and
2. Film & Raw Footage Submission Options:
a. www.vimeo.com - Create Vimeo account - Upload Film/Raw Footage - Go to Private Settings - Find Who can watch this video? - Choose Only people with a password - Create a password for privacy setting - Share link & password on Submission form.
b. www.wetransfer.com - Add File - Type email@example.com in Friend’s email Box - Type in your personal email - Provide Film Title, Directo’s Name, Length in Minutes and Name of Country in Message Box - Click Transfer
c. Mail in DVD or USB to:

3. Pay the required fee as outlined:
a. Applicants should test their DVDs, USBs, files or links thoroughly before submitting them. If TSFF is unable to view the Film, TSFF will attempt, but is under no obligation, to contact the Applicant in order to obtain a replacement.
b. TSFF will not review multiple versions of a submitted Film. Only one version of the Film may be submitted. If multiple versions are submitted, TSFF will view only the version that was received first.
c. DVD and USB screeners will not be returned.
d. TSFF is under no obligation to contact the submitting party and/or refund the submission fee should the applicant not have adhered to rules, set out in Terms and Conditions.
e. TSFF does not confirm receipt of shipment, and is not responsible for lost or misdirected packages. It is the Applicant’s responsibility to ensure that the submission procedure is complete, and that the screener has been received by TSFF.
