Terms and Conditions: By submitting your films (“Film”) to Toronto Smartphone Film Festival ("TSFF"), you accept and agree that you grant TSFF a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive right and license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, screen, broadcast, and distribute the Film as well as the unrestricted use of the Film for any purpose, without compensation to the provider of the Film.

Rules and Regulations:
Genre: Free of choice, including but not limited to: Animation, Comedy, Documentary, Experimental, Horror, and Music Video.
Length: 10 minutes or under (including credits).
Language: Films containing spoken language(s) other than English must include English Subtitles.
Film Footage: Must be shot on smartphone(s) and/or tablet(s) of any brand. Animation films and digitally produced films must be created on smartphones/tablets using app(s) [DSLR, Handycam Camcorders, Point-and-Shoot Cameras, and et cetera are not accepted].
Audio Recording: External device(s) may be used if necessary.
BTS (Mandatory): Prepare Behind-the-Scene photos and/or raw footage of film when asked by TSFF. If submitting BTS photos, photos must contain the act of one shooting the film on a smartphone/tablet and of the actual scenes used in the final cut of the film (at least 3 different photos). If submitting a raw footage of the film, the footage must be unedited and uncut for the duration of 30 seconds or longer to be eligible.
Editing: Any editing software(s) may be used (does not need to be edited on smartphones/tablets).
Archival Footage: Archival footage are permitted for use as an aid to develop a story and does not need to be shot on smartphone(s)/tablet(s) as long as the copyrights are cleared before submitting. However, archival footage are not permitted to be used for the full duration of the film if shot on devices other than smartphone(s)/tablet(s).
Copyright: All copyright material(s) used in final edit must be cleared by the applicant before submitting. Any issue(s) that may arise due to infringement of copyrights is the applicant’s sole responsibility. TSFF and its members are not responsible for any infringement of copyrights.
All submissions will be reviewed by TSFF's programming team and the winners will be selected by jury members assigned by TSFF. Applicant's film will automatically disquality if the film is watchable by the public via YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, Website, etc... On the other hand, having the film involved in different film festivals will not be of issue. Selected films will be notified and screened on one of two days of the film festival and broadcast on Arirang Korea TV via OMNI 2. Finalists give the Toronto Smartphone Film Festival the non-exclusive rights without payment to screen, broadcast, publish, distribute on all possible media platforms and use it for promotional purposes indefinitely.
- Films, filmmakers and actors from Quebec are excluded from submissions.
Deadline for Entry: Sunday, April 24, 2016 at 11:59 p.m. EST.
Results will be notified by Friday, May 6, 2016. (Date is subject to change)

A. All Films submitted under these Terms must be submitted in accordance with the procedure outlines herein. TSFF may, but is not required to, disqualify or reject any Film that is not submitted in this way.
B. To submit a film or Festival consideration, an Applicant must:

3. Pay the required fee as outlined:
a. Applicants should test their files or links thoroughly before submitting. If TSFF is unable to view the Film, TSFF will attempt, but is under no obligation, to contact the Applicant in order to obtain a replacement.
b. TSFF will not review multiple versions of a submitted Film. Only one version of the Film may be submitted. If multiple versions are submitted, TSFF will view only the version that was received first.
c. TSFF is under no obligation to contact the submitting party and/or refund the submission fee should the applicant not have adhered to rules, set out in Terms and Conditions.
d. TSFF does not confirm receipt of submissions. It is the Applicant’s responsibility to ensure that the submission procedure is complete, and that the screener has been received by TSFF.
